Dr. Hopkins

Meet Dr. Hopkins.

Dr. Hopkins has been in private practice of Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine in the Bay Area since 1980. Prior to that he practiced at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. His post-graduate medical education was at the University of California San Diego, USC/Los Angeles County Medical Center and Stanford University, in General Surgery, Neurology and Anesthesiology.

He has dedicated his career to Operating Room Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine since 1976, transitioning full time to Interventional Pain Medicine in the last several years. Over the past thirty years, he has participated in the development of then-cutting-edge Pain Medicine techniques, many of which are in standard use today. He continues to work to bring to the Bay Area the most up to date techniques. He has spent time in Australia, Europe, and Canada working with the originators of many of these techniques.

Dr. Hopkins is Board-Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed his Anesthesia residency at Stanford University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
